pearls from the summer palace in beijing

this oyster produced 18 pearls! quite incredible huh? you would expect just one out of one oyster. anyhow, this oyster hails from the lake in the summer palace. the history of which is absolutely fascinating. but back to the task at hand, i purchased a string of pearls from this place and they will be featured every now and then on squiggletown as "summer palace pearls". the first piece to use these pearls is "pearlescent" (a new pair of earrings!)
